I like my job; no I love my job. I've never worked for a company that has placed so much focus on not only the customers, but also the employees. There's always the potential to ascend the ranks, there are always performance reviews, always movies to rent and of course, there is always fun. The Rogers Video corporate culture is amazing. |

The best part of my job is working with amazing people, interacting with great customers, and learning something new every time I work. I am also a listener, advertiser, entertainer, movie critic, coworker, and a friend. I love the excitement that a customer has when they find the last copy of a new release title on the shelf, or a child who is allowed to rent their favorite cartoon. I could work anywhere else, but why would I want to?

Shift Leader

It is hard to believe that it's been three entire years since I began as a CSR-one among many in the ranks of the company. At first, the idea of working at a video store meant only one thing to me: FREE RENTALS!! Yet, as time went on working with people every day has given me not only confidence as far as my job is concerned, but has also endowed me with the skills and tools to deal with people in everyday life.
I would recommend this job to anyone, for the years I have spent at Rogers Video have been great, and as Anthony Hopkins said in Hearts in Atlantis: "I wouldn't trade it for the world Bobby, not one minute of it". |

One thing that I have realized about Rogers Video is that they like to promote within the company. They set their employees, including myself, up to succeed. Belief from all team players has helped me to grow within this company.
I love being able to make a decision regarding a business aspect or exceptional customer service and having the support and responsibility to do so.

Integrated Customer Service Representative

Working for Rogers means working in a store where you get your job done, but have fun doing it.
We don't serve our customers like robots on an assembly line, instead we're encouraged to talk to our customers, get to know them, find out what their interests are...it's like being a talk show host! Rogers offers flexible working hours...they'll work around school, sports, even vacations (but we want a souvenir).
So if you're a fun-loving person up for a little friendly competition and lots of laughs and excitement, then there's a Rogers Video near you. |

I enjoy serving the public and meeting new people. I need my voice to be heard when I have ideas to offer. I must constantly be learning new procedures, or I get bored. I like responsibility it motivates me to work under pressure.
I've found Rogers to be the company that best suits my personality. I'm always learning new skills and procedures that allow me to take a more active role within the company.

Integrated Assistant Store Manager

The possibilities for success here at Rogers is plentiful, and what is really refreshing is they want you to strive for success as much as you do. This company is there for you, a very rare quality these days. Training is available in any position you are interested in.
I work in a team atmosphere lead by a group of fun, caring and unique people. We work hard together, have fun together and we grow together. We are all known by our names and not our numbers.
My personal career goal is to one day soon be a Store Manager.

My experience started two years ago when I applied for a part-time position while attending a business course at college. I began as a customer service representative and quickly moved up to supervisor, then to Assistant Store Manager until arriving at my current position as Integrated Assistant Store Manager.
Within the communications centre we deal with Cable and Digital, Hi-Speed Internet, and wireless products. We also provide services such as inquiries, troubleshooting, general knowledge to questions, while at the same time, keeping a fun atmosphere. Being the Assistant Manager, I also have to make sure our department runs smoothly and keep the staff updated on new promotions and product information.
In the last two years I have made many great and lasting friendships with customers and staff members. This is why I love my job and feel that working at the neighborhood video store is the best place I could be on earth.

I've been with this company since 1993. I started out as a CSR and moved up through the ranks to store Manager. I've watched this company change year-in, year-out; and always for the better! If I didn't love my job and where my job and this company is going, I wouldn't be here! |

I've always loved movies. I've enjoyed them for as long as I can remember. In the beginning, it was my passion for film which led me to apply at Rogers Video. Little did I know then, that my passion for people would lead me into the store manager position I hold today. I've been given the amazing opportunity to lead a team of dynamic and enthusiastic individuals in a fast paced environment. It isn't without its challenges but it's also proved to be its own reward.

I started within the company as a Supervisor and moved to Assistant Manager and now Integrated Store Manager. Rogers Video also has a wide product base that allows you to gain knowledge in cable products, wireless products, and of course we can't forget video. Area Manager

When people ask me to describe what my role is, I don't know where to begin, as it's actually many roles. I'm a leader, a coach, and a mentor. I oversee all store operations for the Manitoba region. This involves everything from customer service to people development and creating a fun, motivating environment to maximising profitability and managing our assets.
The video business is forever evolving and our company does as well. That's another reason why I love working for Rogers Video. We take chances. I truly believe that we are leaders within the industry and take great pride at becoming involved in the community. I'm glad to be a part of it and....I love movies!
