| Plot Outline: |
Fifteen-year-old Mia Williams is at war with the world. She's been kicked out of school and spends her days drinking and dancing to hip-hop tunes in an abandoned apartment. Music feels like Mia's only escape from feuding with her sister and scornful mother, Joanne. Tensions between the women begin to soften, though, with the arrival of Connor, Joanne's kind-hearted boyfriend. Connor takes an interest in the girls - especially Mia, who can't help but return his affection. Under his guidance, Mia begins to blossom. But could their relationship go too far?
