As a parent it’s virtually impossible to monitor the content of all the movies and games that your children can be exposed to. But, movies and games are our business and we feel responsible for ensuring that our customers are informed about what they are bringing into their homes.
We are aware of and share our customers’ concern about the content of some motion pictures and video games and the impact they have on young people. It is our intention to make every effort to keep inappropriate materials out of the hands of minors, in accordance with parental desires, and uphold our industry’s rating system.
Parents also have the option to add restrictions to their accounts ensuring that their children rent parent-approved material.
The Rogers Plus Pledge to Parents enables you to make informed choices about the movies and games your children are exposed to.
Our Pledge to Parents is as follows:
- It is the policy of this store to not rent or sell video games rated "Teen" to persons under the age of 13.
- It is the policy of this store to not rent or sell movies rated "14A" to persons under 14 without an adult.
- It is the policy of this store to not rent or sell movies designated as "restricted" to persons under the age of 18, including all movies rated "18A" and "R" by the Canadian Motion Picture Distribution Association.
- It is the policy of this store to not rent or sell video games rated "M" by the ESRB to persons under the age of 17 without parental consent.
- It is the policy of this store to not rent or sell video games rated “AO” (Adults Only) by the ESRB to persons under the age of 18.
