    Biography
    Pierce Brendan Brosnan was born May 16, 1953 in Drogheda, Ireland. His family moved to London when he was 11 and on the very day of Ian Flemming’s death. After short careers as a fire-eater in the circus and a commercial artist, he enrolled in the Drama Centre in London where he studied for three years. Married former Bond girl Cassandra Harris on December 27, 1980. He adopted her two children from a previous marriage and they later had a son together. Since Cassandra’s death of ovarian cancer in 1991, Pierce began serving as Ambassador for Women’s Health Issues for Permanent Charities of the Entertainment Industry. He was first chosen to become Roger Moore’s successor as James Bondwhile appearing in the TV series Remington Steele but contractual obligations would post-pone this opportunity for ten years. Finally, in 1995 Brosnan debuted as 007 inGoldeneye which was the most successful Bond film in history, earning an incredible 350 million dollars. With the release of Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997 and The World Is Not Enough. Pierce will make one more Bond film to fulfill his contract. His production company, Irish Dreamtime Inc. has released many film’s including The Nephew with Pierce assuming a supporting role. As well as his love for acting, he is an accomplished painter.
