Liv Tyler, the daughter of Steven Tyler of the band Aerosmith and Bebe Buell, a former model, began her career following in her mother’s footsteps. Though after a very short turn on the catwalk Liv decided acting was more her speed.
Scooped up to be a member of the cast of Silent Fall along with Richard Dreyfuss, Linda Hamilton and John Lithgow -- director James Mangold who was so impressed with Liv’s audition for his project Heavy, that he delayed the start dates so she could participate when she completed Silent Fall.
The very next year she catapulted into the public eye when she starred in Bernardo Bertolucci’s Stealing Beauty along with Carlo Cecchi.
Martha Fiennes’ project Onegin which Liv starred in, was featured at the Toronto Festival of Festivals in 2000.
In 2001 Liv worked with Matt Dillon in Harald Zwart’s delightful comedy One Night at McCool's where Liv successfully turned her hand at being an irresistibly destructive seductress.
A very bright new star, Liv is in high demand. Her popularity will take her far, but her performing excellence will take her even further. |
